About Dr. Val
Dr. Val grew up outside of Zeeland, Michigan and after high school attended Michigan State University where she graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Animal Science. She later attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa where she graduated as Valedictorian of her class.
After graduation, she practiced in Portage, Michigan until moving to the Hart area in March 2017. She became actively involved in her community by joining Shelby Rotary Club and as the National Asparagus Festival’s Asparagus Queen Runner Up in 2017.
In her free time, Dr. Val enjoys spending time with her husband, Tony, and daughter, Lillian, her two border collies, riding her horses and cross country skiing.
About Nicole
Nicole is our office manager. She grew up in Twin Lake, Michigan and attended Holton High School. She graduated in 1992 and was a member of the National Honor Society. She also attended Newaygo County Career Tech Center for 3 years, in which time she completed the child care program and the cosmetology program. She was awarded the Cosmetology Student of the Year award. Nicole has been a licensed cosmetologist since 1993 and currently owns her own home salon. She also worked as a medical transcriptionist for 16 years before coming to Oceana Family Chiropractic in May 2021.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Sam and their 3 kids, Kristina, Matthew, and Sam and 2 grandchildren, Carter and Lorraine. She enjoys volunteering at church, reading, gardening, house plants, and physical fitness activities.
